Collection: Mirela Popovici Jewelry

Mirela Popovici is a multidisciplinary artist working in South Florida. She inherited her love for the decorative arts from her family; her grandfather was the head of the Iris Porcelain Factory in Cluj, Romania, while her parents were tile artisans. She began creating works in copper enamel and ceramics, enchanted by the way heat transformed the materials. This interest eventually led her to glass. During a summer visit back to her hometown of Cluj, she came across a small lampwork studio. What began as a few lessons became a lifelong passion. Glass, like ceramics and enamel, captures the unpredictability and transformation that she loves. Time spent in nature, the beach in particular, is also a great inspiration.
