Luis Montanez
Matchless Glass, headed by our very own Luis Montanez, has expanded into vintage jewelry. Building upon his reputation in sourcing glass, he has created necklaces, earrings, and bracelets using vintage beads from the 1980s. These lampworked beads feature lively shapes and textures, each unique in design. Over seven years at the Wiener Museum of Decorative Arts, Luis has honed his artistic eye by working closely with pieces by masters such as Dale Chihuly and Lino Tagliapietra. In addition, Luis has deepened his knowledge by working with visiting artists from far and wide, such as the Ferro Brothers and Josh Fradis. These experiences have helped him develop contemporary jewelry styles that still highlight the intricate and effervescent nature of glass.
